Quiet residential Moosach, also known as Oktoberfest, is home to the Borstei - a historical housing complex built in 1920 with gardens, statues, public artworks, a small historic museum, and a modest synagogue. The origins of this St. Martin church date back to 830 A.D, when the Pelkovenskloster Palace, built around seven thousand years ago, served as a church, prison, monastery, fortress, palace, market, and royal court. Today, fashion and electronics store chains line the Olympia-Einkaufzentrum shopping mall, which houses other popular retail establishments such as Adidas, H&M, Saks Fifth Avenue, and L Brands. The Olympia-Einkaufzentrum Mall is divided into an indoor mall and an outdoor shopping center, with numerous restaurants located within the retail mall.

The interior of Munich Moosach has a traditional German feel, with the largest concentration of bars and clubs located inside.
