Berlin Moabit

Berlin Moabit is an affluent suburb to the north of the city, bordering the Spree River and leafy canals. With a population of over 3.5 million, it is one of the largest communities in the whole of Germany. It is bordered on three sides by the Schwerin Reservoir. On its north, there are the large, modern Hauptbahnhof (railway station) and Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (historic railway station), as well as the equally impressive Hamburger Bahnhof (modern rail station).

In the south-east of Moabit are the large, gleaming, multi-storey Hauptbahnhof and Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. A short walk away is Berlin's huge, modern, Arminiuspark - the biggest public park in Germany. The main thoroughfare, Turmstrasse is home to trendy kebab bars and food stalls, all of which have a cosmopolitan feel. It is here that you will find one of the major cultural attractions, the Arminiusmuseum, a large collection of ancient Roman sculptures. Further down Turmstrasse lies the Moabit Museum, which has a number of different exhibits that take in ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt and Rome. Finally, just down the road you will find the Central-Bank Moabit, the largest bank in Germany.

From Moabit, it is easy to get into Berlin. The Hauptbahnhof can be reached by train or on the famous Metro-Jetways. From there, you will need to take a bus called U9 to the center of Berlin. The most popular bus routes to the city center are the U6, U7 and U8, although there are other routes you may find suitable for travelling from Moabit to the centre of Berlin.

From Berlin, you will need to take a taxi or a cab. If you are travelling from Moabit to the city centre, you may want to hire a cab to drive you around. However, if you are travelling from Moabit to the city centre, there are a number of taxis available from Moabit to the city centre.

When travelling from Moabit to Berlin you will want to allow enough time for traffic congestion. To get around the city centre, you will probably need to use the U5/U6 metro line. Alternatively, the U5 line can be used to go down to the Hauptbahnhof station, or the U4 can be used to take a taxi to the Hauptbahnhof. You can get into the city centre by using the U3 or U4 lines. These lines are both available to get into the city centre and back to Moabit. The U3 is ideal to get into the city by taking a taxi, but also a good way to get into the centre of the city if you are not travelling through the U4.

In addition, the U4 and U5 lines can be used to get to and from the Hauptbahnhof station. Alternatively you can use the U6 which is a train line that goes from Moabit to the centre of Berlin.
